I saw a schedule for part time evening students online showing Mon-Thursday 6-9pm with Mondays being a virtual class. Is that not the schedule? or is that just a sample schedule?

40:10
That will be your first semester schedule. The first year is automatically scheduled for you.

40:25
Okay, that's what I thought. Thank you so much.

41:37
Thank you to who ever asked this question!

42:19
Make sure that you have some sort of cloud storage or automatic backup (I use OneDrive)

49:35
How early did you get your books?

49:38
Can each of you maybe share a little about how you balanced working and internships/externships if at all? Thanks so much!

50:18
Petrina - I bought mine a few weeks before classes once the professors had given us our syllabus

50:57
For those of us who don't work in the legal field, when should we be making the switch and getting our first job in the legal field?

51:02
You will likely have reading assignments due during that first class. So make sure you purchase your books as early as possible.

53:35
Do you know approximately when will the syllabus be released ? So when the earliest we could possibly get our books will be

54:11
I was able to go onto the bookstore website and set up notifications for when they are going to be available.

54:29
okay, thank you.

55:24
Thank you Shelby!!

56:04
I am in the process of finding a job that is more well suited for taking classes. How likely is it that career services is able to find a “unique” position like the few described in this call?

01:02:16
Can you readdress the amazon matching price? with school books? Thank you.

01:03:00
Yes, when you go to order your books, if you find it cheaper on amazon, the bookstore will price match. You just have to email them.

01:03:14
Okay. Got it. Thanks.

01:03:27
I have to run but thank you for the info! And congrats all on graduating!

01:03:37
Is that only price matching with Amazon or other websites too?

01:03:41
Thanks for attending!

01:03:53
Thanks!

01:05:09
I found all of that under the registrar link Arya

01:06:02
The classes and the professors. The class locations and such.

01:08:48
Is there a certain purse or bag you would recommend to add on?

01:09:13
backpack! Save your shoulders. Your books will be heavy.

01:09:53
I have a few classmates that use the roller bookbags/brief cases too.

01:10:21
If you do not want a back pack, I LOVE my Lo& Sons OG bag, I have used it all four years, and it looks brand new. But my suggestion will be something with dividers and durable, the books are heavy.

01:12:42
How early do you think we'll have access to Quimby?

01:14:07
Completely off current topic, but I’m moving to Pittsburg from Kansas and am looking for an apartment. Never lived in a big city so I was just curious if you would suggest living downtown close to Duquesne or outside of the city?

01:14:33
The $2,000 towards a new computer/laptop. Is it subsidized through the merit-based scholarship, grant/loan? I would like clarification, thank you.

01:14:58
It is through your financial aid, so I would contact them they can walk you through the process of obtaining it.

01:15:11
(Born & Raised in PGH) - the downside to living downtown is the lack of grocery store!

01:15:15
Also, if you order through the Duquesne IT there is a discount on computers.

01:16:04
Okay, thank you. I will have to read more about that.

01:16:09
My favorite place is Southside @ Paige they have a shuttle to duquesne too!

01:16:48
Do you have to wait until a certain time to use the $2,000 for laptop? Or will you have access before loan funds are disbursed

01:16:48
Apple also offers an educational discount on new tech. They just need your student email to verify your status.

01:17:32
Southside is in a dark Time right now but I know a ton of kids live their off campus and they dont pay too much in rent

01:17:37
Okay thank you! I’ll have my fiancé with me but I’m sure he will want to avoid the sketchy areas too lol

01:17:52
I know at Apple if you bought a laptop with them, you can trade in your old laptop and they will give you the sale value in $ towards a new laptop

01:17:59
I live in Bellevue which is nice. DO NOT live in east hills, there is a shooting every other day

01:17:59
*Apple Store

01:18:06
Best Buy will give u money for a trade in too

01:18:36
Mt. Washington is great, also! I lived there all through undergrad and it was quiet, relatively affordable, and super convenient.

01:18:37
I'm a huge fan of Carnegie :) But I'm biased. Lol Greentree and Carnegie are very close. Basically just on the other side of Fort Pitt Tunnel.

01:18:55
I live in southills I love it!

01:19:06
When i bought my new laptop I went straight through apple to get the education discount, 5% cash back with my apple card, and free air pods THEN the financial aid office reimbursed me for the price of laptop.

01:20:34
Mt Lebanon is great! I had my first 2 apartments in Mt Lebo and absolutely loved them. My third apartment was reasonable in the North Side, but it is NOT a good area (north shore is fine, but farther up not so much). I now live in Robinson Township which is extremely convenient because I am right off of 376 and close to every store imaginable. And only a short drive to the airport.

01:21:40
How early do we get access to Quimby?

01:23:38
THank you

01:23:55
Thank you!

01:24:04
Thank you!

01:24:06
Thank you, good luck on bar/graduation!

01:24:06
